Airports:
Metropolitan Boston is served by the Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport (IATA: BOS / ICAO: KBOS) with frequent service from New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco and many destinations in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia on 40 different airlines. Nearly all International flights arrive at Terminal E to clear US Customs and Immigration formalities; ground transportation connections are available from all terminals.
Trains and Buses:
The South Station Terminal is Boston\’s main ground transportation hub. Amtrak, the US National passenger rail service arrives from throughout the Northeast Corridor and from Chicago and points West. South Station is also served by several intercity bus lines, including Greyhound and Trailways, and regional commuter bus services, most of which also serve Logan Airport. Entry into Boston’s extensive public transportation system is also available here.

Getting to Boston College:
Boston Logan International Airport is the closest airport to Boston College. The most common types of transportation used from the airport are taxis, rental cars and by the public transportation system called the “T”.
(1) Taxi: Taxis can be found at the ground transportation area outside each terminal. Fare to Boston College will cost approximately $40 to $55 depending on traffic and the time of day. For good service it is customary to tip about 15% in addition to the fare. Estimated travel time is 20 to 40 minutes – once again dependent on traffic and time of day.
(2) Public Transportation: The MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority) operates Boston’s transportation system. This system, commonly known as the “T”, consists of buses, trains and trolleys that operate above and below ground. The different lines of the T are color-coded. Boston College is located at the end of the “B” line branch of the T’s Green Line.
From Logan Airport: Take a free Massport shuttle bus from any terminal to the Blue Line Airport T Station. The shuttle bus will drop you off directly in front of Airport Station where you can purchase a “Charlie Ticket” at the ticket machines inside the station’s lobby. Insert your Charlie Ticket in the turn-style to access the station platform. From there, take the Blue Line train inbound to Government Center and then transfer to the Green Line where you will take the “B” Boston College trolley to Boston College. Boston College will be the last stop on this line. Estimated travel time: 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Take Exit 17 toward Newton/Watertown
There is a stop light at the top of the ramp. Go in a circle about 2/3 of the way around the Crowne Plaza Hotel. As you are traveling around the hotel, stay to your right. At the 2/3 mark, you will see a sign for Eaton’s Apothecary, turn right there onto Centre Street. Stay on Centre Street for 4 stop lights (you will pass the western campus of Boston College that houses the Law School and the Institute for Scientific Research). The fourth stop light is on Commonwealth Avenue. There is a ski shop at the intersection of Commonwealth and Centre.
Turn left unto Commonwealth Avenue. Now continue on it for three stop lights (one on Grant; one Hammond; and one by St. Ignatius Church). When you reach the third stop light, you will have passed the main gate at Boston College.
Turn right at St. Ignatius Church, then turn right again onto the lower campus of Boston College. The workshop will be held in the Heights Room. This is located on the 2nd floor of Corcoran Commons on the lower campus.
Visitors driving to our workshop are instructed to park in the Commonwealth Avenue Garage – which is also located on the lower campus.
